It is called "The First Embrace", the first hug, and that is what we must offer Mother Earth to be reborn and revive her fortunes. And it is also the title of the touching new single that Giovanni Allevi created specifically for Earth Day today, Friday 22 April.
And tonight, the pianist and composer, for years European Ambassador of Earth Day, official ambassador of the UN organization, will perform the piece for the first time live at the Nuvola di Fuksas in Rome, while here the new single is already in pre-save.

I believe that there is no more sublime gesture than the first embrace: the one between the mother and her newborn, the one between two lovers, the one between the Earth and its inhabitants. Time stops, every worry momentarily ends in the background, love envelops everything with its warm presence. The notes of this piece recount the first embrace, thanks to its sweet, slow and poignant melody: yet the apparent simplicity hides a spasmodic search for the metaphysical, the impalpable photograph of a state of mind, welcomed by a melody that is expressed through the softness of the sound that only my beloved Bosendorfer piano can express. I love this song because I hope it will bring relief to humanity dispersed and thrown into the existence of this very difficult historical moment, to get away even for a few minutes in a personal cradle of the soul, says Giovanni Allevi.

From the Nuvola di Fuksas, to the EUR district in Rome from 21 pm, Giovanni Allevi's Concerto per la Terra is part of The Voice of the Earth, the musical event, curated by Tiziana Cuccillo and Maria Gabriella Marino, which concludes the 14 hours of #OnePeopleOnePlanet , multimedia marathon visible in streaming on RaiPlay. The concert in which Giovanni Allevi, flanked by Carolina Rey, is also visible in the halls of Notorius Cinemas.
