The new CA.SE project in L'Aquila was presented yesterday with a press conference on the web, which allowed the solarization of the Municipality hit by the earthquake in April 2009 through the construction of 148 buildings equipped with photovoltaic systems, capable of guarantee the local authority about 180.000 euros per year for the next twenty years.

The new was presented yesterday with a press conference on the web CA.SE project in L'Aquila, which allowed the solarization of the municipality struck by the earthquake in April 2009 through the realization of 148 buildings equipped with photovoltaic systems, able to guarantee the local authority about 180.000 € annually for the next twenty years.
At the end of this period the Municipality of L'Aquila will become, to all intents and purposes, the owner of the photovoltaic systems and will therefore continue to benefit from the production of clean energy
The plants have a power of 4,7 MW and are able to produce every year 5,5 million kWh of electricity from renewable sources, which corresponds to the needs of 2.200 families. Thanks to this initiative L'Aquila will emit 3.000 tons of carbon dioxide less.
The ambitious project was completed in record time - not without some controversy - thanks to the contribution of companies of excellence in the photovoltaic sector: designed and built by Enerpoint Spa together with Troiani and Ciarrocchi Srl., the plants use the new ones photovoltaic modules al monocrystalline silicon high efficiency products from Sharp as well as the inverter power one which, together, are able to guarantee a direct / alternating current conversion efficiency more than 97%.
At the press conference, broadcast live on TV on the web, they attended both Alfredo Morone, Councilor for Policies and Services for the protection and enhancement of the environment, and contractors. The decision to broadcast the press conference via the web was a further act of sensitivity towards the environment; thanks to this initiative - which however allowed a all journalists to participate and speak directly - the carbon dioxide emissions that the organization of a live event would have naturally involved have been eliminated; ei money saved will be spent on the purchase of a minivan for the disabled that will be donated to the city.
