My brother chases dinosaurs: the story of the superhero with 'an extra chromosome' arrives at the cinema

The new film to be released on September 5 by newcomer Stefano Cipani tells us about it, "My brother chases the dinosaurs“, Based on the book of the same name by Giacomo Mazzariol who also wrote the screenplay for the film together with Fabio Bonifacci.

The film, like the book, tells the story of Jack and Gio, two very different brothers. Jack is one like many, Gio is special and endowed with superhero powers. At least that's what their parents say until one day, Jack, discovers the truth: his brother is not a superhero but he has down syndrome.

An unexpected discovery that will upset him even if it will be Gio himself who will teach them to live life to the full, in spite of his fears.

The story is all true and Cipani personally got to know the family protagonist of the novel, defining it disruptive and very human. For the feature film he chose actors of the caliber of Alessandro Gassmann (Davide), Isabella Ragonese (Katia) and the Spanish Rossy De Palma (Zia Rock), and for the protagonists Francesco Gheghi (Jack) and Lorenzo Sisto (Gio).

Cipani is not new to the topic of disability, in the past he shot a short film called “While God is Watching Us” which has as its protagonist a disabled boy suffering from a terminal illness.

And with this first feature film, much awaited by the public, he brings the theme of welcoming towards the different to the big screen, starting from a piece of real life. To be seen!
