Good news from London where Michael Rosen, author of the well-known children's illustrated book “Hunting for the bear”, has finally come out of the hospital where he was hospitalized for 3 months due to the coronavirus.

The 74-year-old writer had been admitted to intensive care in March with Covid-19. Here he had spent 47 days but, fortunately, the situation gradually improved and now, in full recovery, Michael was finally able to go home.

There had been a lot of concern about his health all over the world. His children's book "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" is in fact one of the most loved and well-known and, in April, the initiative was launched that with the hashtag #bearhunt he wanted to pay homage and strength, albeit virtually, to the writer. On social media, many photos of teddy bears at the window, waiting for Michael's return home but also a simple and fun way to make all children feel a little less distant from each other during the lockdown.

To announce his return home and, on the occasion, thank everyone for the affection received, was Michael himself via his Twitter profile.

@jeremycorbyn Thank you very much Jeremy for your goodwill message when I went into intensive care. I’ve survived! And came home yesterday. Thanks again.

Rosen, in fact, already from the hospital after passing the most critical phase, had kept in touch with relatives, friends and fans, also revealing very intimate details about his state of health, such as the fact that he had to learn again to walking after contracting the coronavirus.

We are happy that this writer, one of the most beloved in Great Britain, has made it. Recall that Rosen, in addition to the well-known masterpiece "Hunting for the bear" which teaches children to face their fears, is the author of many other books (over 140) including Little Rabbit Foo Foo. In 2004 he wrote Sad Book where he expressed all the pain of him following the sudden death of his son, Eddie, only 18 years old.
