The police immediately arrived on the spot, while the gallery was closed to the public. Investigations are now underway to verify whether that painting identical to Klimt is precisely the original, among other things at the top of the ranking of the most sought-after paintings in the world.
At the moment, however, this is only a hypothesis to be confirmed, since it could be a copy.
He was found by some workers from the Globo Dimensione Verde company in San Nicolò, who were carrying out work in the garden on behalf of the municipality.
