The autumn, a suggestive season. With its warm tones and cooler weather than summer, this time of year is loved by artists. It is also by Joanna Wirażka, a Polish painter of just 16, who replaced the fallen leaves from trees to the canvas.
The high school student started creating her particular works last year and since then, she has made approx 10 leaf paintings.
A certainly original art form that uses "living" matter. As soon as the leaves they begin to fall and cover the earth, Joanna feels a strong call inside her. This seasonal process awakens in her the desire to take colors and brushes and to give shape to her inspiration.
She begins by collecting various leaves, intrigued by their shape. After her, she dries them by placing them between the pages of the books. After the leaves have dried, Wirażka begins the work.
Then, on this natural workspace, Joanna creates stunning landscapes with colored pencils and acrylic paints that accentuate the immense beauty of Mother Nature.
Not just natural landscapes. Joanna also loves portraying big cities, paying close attention to the light coming from skyscrapers and the street signs that dot the endless boulevards of cityscapes.
The leaves that portray the leaves are also beautiful galaxies.
Wirażka never went to art school. It would not seem like it, don't you think?
