Happy Birthday Cinderella! The Disney classic turns 15 on February 72

Cinderella turns 15 on February 72. The animated Disney film, inspired by the fairy tale by Charles Perrault, has become a beloved classic for many generations.

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

It was February 15, 1950 when Cinderella was shown for the first time in Boston, an animated film based on Perrault's fable of the same name. A classic that helped Disney out of a very dark period of great economic difficulties, the one experienced immediately after the Second World War.

The redemption took place with Cinderella, in fact it was a huge success that earned Disney a total of 85 million dollars against a cost of construction of 3 million.

To make the animated film, real actors were used who recreated the scenes in real sets in the Disney studios, in this way the animators could take inspiration for their drawings, especially in terms of facial expressions and movements.

The transformation of Cinderella's tattered work dress into a lavish ball gown was Walt Disney's favorite animated scene, not only because of the beauty of the images created by Marc Davis but also because it represents the entire Disney philosophy: miracles can happen to those who do not lose hope!

Everyone remembers, in addition to the images and the plot, the famous soundtrack made up of real masterpieces such as "Dreams are desires" and "Bidibi bodibi bu", written by Mack David, Jerry Livingston and Al Hoffman.

The castle designed for the film is also very famous (inspired by that of Neustwanstein in Bavaria) which later became the symbol of Disney and made life-size in Walt Disney World in Florida.

A fairy tale that made generations of girls dream of a ransom similar to that experienced by the protagonist of this story: the sweet orphan Cinderella, slave of her stepmother and stepsisters, who with a bit of luck and the help of the fairy godmother Smemorina and some mice friends she meets Prince Charming and completely changes her life.

Today perhaps the one represented by Cinderella is no longer a dream shared by many, the girls have learned that they do not need any prince charming (or fairies) to be able to have the life they want and express their true essence.

Cinderella remains however a story loved for many generations and this is also testified by the various films that have filmed it such as Cinderella Story and its sequel.
