Known to the general public thanks to the role of the superhero Black Panther, Black Panther, from Marvel Studios, Boseman's career exploded for the first time with his portraits of American black icons Jackie Robinso and James Brown in "Get on Up" of the 2014.
"It is with immense pain that we confirm the disappearance of Chadwick Boseman," reads the tweet published by the actor's family. "It was his lifetime honor to bring King T'Challa back to life in 'Black Panther'."

"Chadwick's death is absolutely devastating," said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and chief creative officer of Marvel. “He was our T'Challa, our Black Panther and our dear friend. Every time he stepped foot on set, he radiated charisma and joy, and every time he appeared on screen he created something truly indelible. He has embodied many extraordinary characters in his work than him and none have been better at bringing great men to life. He was smart, kind, powerful and strong like every person he played. He now takes his place next to them as an icon for the ages. The Marvel Studios family is deeply saddened by the loss of him and today we are in mourning with his family. "
