From Camilleri to Sciascia: literary benches are born in Sicily

In Terrasini, in the province of Palermo, local artists have created splendid "literary benches" dedicated to five great Sicilian artists.

There are five, each dedicated to a great Sicilian artist, and one could not fail to pay homage to Andrea Camilleri. It's literary benches pop up on the suggestive seafront of Terrasini, in the province of Palermo, which create a real literary path inspired by the Sicilian and the great masters who have made Sicily famous in the world.

After the wonderful literary benches in London dedicated to the characters of the bestsellers, in Sicily we want to give proper memory to the works of Andrea Camilleri, Rosa Balistreri, Giuseppe Tornatore, Leonardo Sciascia and Giovanni Meli, all united by the good fortune of being born on this wonderful island .

Made by talented local artists, the colorful benches a book shape report words and images of the five illustrious Sicilian personalities who, as stated in a note from the Municipality, "have brought Sicily and its arts around the world [...] Five benches for five moments of rest, reflection or even just of lightheartedness, to admire a breathtaking view, take a seat ... on the words of illustrious Sicilians. All the artists from Terrasino who remembered them: to each his character, to pay homage to our culture ".
