Frida's wardrobe, hidden for 50 years, displays a collection of never-before-seen personal objects and possessions that reveal some intimate details of the painter

But few know that there is one hidden collection for over fifty years.
It could only be a fascinating story that linked to the extraordinary Mexican painter, who has become the symbol of freedom of expression and transgression.
After Frida Khalo's death in 1954, her husband Diego Rivera had ordered that the painter's wardrobe and all personal items remain secret for 15 years.
In 2011, the Japanese artist Ishiuchi Miyako he finally got the keys to that secret room where a good part of what had belonged to the woman was kept. Beyond 300 goods hidden in the bathroom of the house in Mexico City.
Among the many objects photographed there are Earrings which recall Frida's love for animals, the prosthesis she was forced to wear after the accident and her busts to which she was tied for life.
There are more than 300 items found in the closet and they all show a part of Kahlo's private life, hers is still there traditional dress, the handmade one, the boots with fringes and a colorful bathing suit.
“Frida has always aroused admiration, but my imagination was unleashed by coming into contact with her objects”, explained the artist Miyaho.
