Frida Kahlo as you've never seen it before: the exhibition in Palermo not to be missed

    From 7 June to 29 September in Palermo "Frida Kahlo - The colors of the soul", an exhibition of over 60 shots by Leo Matiz.

    Frida Kahlo in more than 60 different expressions, with flowers in her hair and the inevitable long dress: arrives at the Zingone-Trabia palace in Palermo, from 7 June to 29 September, "Frida Kahlo - The colors of the soul", a original exhibition of over 60 photographic shots of Leo Tint made in the 40s entirely dedicated to the Mexican artist.





    Partly unpublished, the images of the Colombian photographer - born in Gabriel Garcia Marquez's magical Macondo - capture one by one all the facets of Frida's personality, who posed casually in front of the lens, choosing theself-portrait as an expressive form of his troubled inner world.

    The South American photojournalist has in fact been able to observe and grasp all the details of the woman's expressions, giving the viewer a sense of intimacy taken from a privileged point of view. Leo Matiz and Frida Kahlo were in fact very friends and their bond is all described in those deep, mysterious and unique shots.

    The exhibition "Frida Kahlo - The colors of the soul", produced by Navigare srl, has the patronage of the Mexican and Colombian Embassies and is produced with the collaboration of the Leo Matiz Foundation and Museum Bagheria.

    A biographical introduction will allow you to know the details of Frida's life, loves, extraordinary passion for art and political commitment and, through the most famous self-portraits of the painter reproduced in modlight format, it will be possible to deepen her stylistic evolution : it's about a special backlight homogeneous panels on which the works have been digitized at very high resolution, which are returned in every detail of traces, colors and brushstrokes respecting their original format.  Frida Kahlo as you've never seen it before: the exhibition in Palermo not to be missed

    Thanks to the chronological order of the portraits, the exhibition itinerary will follow the evolution of Frida's style as well as the periods of her life: moods and emotions have always been at the basis of Frida's creative process involving us through the colors of soul.

    In addition to the normal exhibition itinerary (of which the timetables and ticket prices will soon be known), there is also a special one section dedicated to international philately, since many countries around the world have issued stamps celebrating the artist, to coincide with special occasions.
