The new one starts today rate D1, tariff experimentation on a national scale aimed at domestic customers who use, in their residence, electric heat pumps as the only heating system for their homes. This is established by article 8, paragraph 3, of resolution 607/2013 / R / eel provides that from 1 July 2014.

From today, and until 31 December 2015, customers who adhere to the tariff experimentation will be charged with the network tariff D1, characterized by the absence of progressivity of the cost of kWh compared to the total annual consumption, which instead characterizes the network tariffs. D2 and D3 currently applied to domestic customers.

WHAT CHANGES - Just to clarify the new scenario, the AEEG has recently published a Faq list, explaining, in summary, that with the D1 each kWh is always paid the same, regardless of the recorded annual consumption volume. One of the components of the energy price varies according to actual consumption (in euro cents / kWh) so the more you consume, the more you pay for each kWh consumed; so instead the price doesn't change.

HOW TO JOIN? -The application for membership must be presented to your electricity vendor. In the event that a higher protection contract is used, the seller is always required to accept the request for membership. If, on the other hand, there is acceptance of the offer of a seller on the free market, it is necessary to verify that he has decided to join the experimentation.

The request must be submitted starting from today 1 July 2014 and by 31 December 2015, by filling out the form from your seller electricity and attaching the technical documentation that demonstrates the characteristics of your heat pump heating system.

From the submission of an application for membership, the seller and the distribution company have 14 working days at their disposal to check the content and update the databases. Tariff D1 will therefore be applied starting from the first day of the month following the one in which this term expires. However, membership does not involve any cost.
