Available in bookstores and comics shops, starting today 13 January, a special comic book Nathan Never, created in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecological Transition. The title of the register is "United for the Planet”, The aim is to bring young readers closer to the burning issue of the environment and the climate crisis.

Global warming is increasingly present in our lives and its devastating effects we are all suffering: increase in temperatures (2021 just ended has been defined as one of the hottest years of all time), drought, fires and extreme climatic phenomena are part of the daily news of all newspapers and are hardly surprising given their frequency. In this desperate framework, the only hope is represented by young people, by the so-called generation Z of children who have taken the climate crisis to heart and who become champions of a more equitable and sustainable world - to guarantee a Planet for the adults who will become and to their children.

With an eye to the future he is also the character of Nathan Never, special agent whose mission is to maintain peace between the planets, and for this reason he became the protagonist of the register created in collaboration with the MiTE: who better than him can bring young people closer to the themes of the fight against climate change and environmental protection, to guarantee us a future of peace and prosperity? Our actions today, in fact, have devastating consequences in the distant future in which the protagonist of the comic lives, who will use the collaboration of some other heroes to try to resolve the situation: Mister No, Martin Mystery and the young scientist Greta Suzuki - inspired by the figures of the very young activists Greta Thunberg, who became famous for her climate strikes in front of the Swedish Parliament, and Severn Cullis-Suzuki, who at the age of 12 denounced the responsibilities of the powerful of the Earth for the climate crisis on the occasion of the Earth Rio de Janeiro Summit (1992).

    @ Sergio Bonelli Publisher

This is the second collaboration between the Sergio Bonelli publishing house and the MiTE, which already in the summer of last year had given life to a register dedicated to the theme of Climate Fiction. Bonelli, in addition to telling ecological and sustainability stories in its books, is concretely committed to making its contribution in defense of the environment: since 2013, in fact, all the books are printed on ecological and certified paper. Because every little daily action we take, even the purchase of a comic, can make a difference for the planet.
