The broken windows of an abandoned former power plant turn into artwork thanks to the contemporary artist Pejac.

A Rijeka, in Croatia there is a very special building, because its broken glasses have become the canvas of the artist Pejac, who depicted a flock of birds on the run from a boy who pulls a sling.

Born in 77, Pejac is a Spanish artist known all over the world, his works are 'open air' or contained in public and private collections. His style is very simple and dry, at times conceptual like that of Banksy.

With this latest work, Pejac celebrates the instinct of survival of nature, but also pays homage to the iconic birds of the Belgian surrealist artist, Renè Magritte.

“On a surreal level, I wanted to recall the instinct of nature: the flock of birds disguises itself among the broken glass, so as to disappear before the human eye. Secondly, I wanted to pay homage to the great Magritte ”, says Pejac.

The result is a game between optical illusion and creativity.

Within the silhouettes of the birds is the sky and clouds, while the silhouette of the boy with the sling was painted with acrylic paints. Camouflage (homage to René Magritte) is considered Pejac's most complex work.
