A short film on the climate crisis and with polar bears as protagonists will be screened at the Venice Film Festival

"What about the polar bears?": the question echoes throughout the Venice Film Festival, during which the short film on the climate crisis is screened which emphasizes the possible disappearance of this wonderful animal, a symbol of the damage we are doing to our planet.

Global warming caused mainly by human activities is putting the survival of our planet and its inhabitants in crisis. Innumerable and very serious damages are already in progress and very evident (even if it seems we don't want to see them). Just last week, one was observed Rainfall on the Greenland Ice Sheet, an event that has never happened before.

The rise in temperatures has long been causing a progressive melting glaciers in the most remote areas of our planet including the North Pole, and often harrowing videos are recorded of polar bears who do not know how to move between remaining pieces of ice and who are therefore doomed to starve.

If we continue to ignore climate change, future generations will have only one chance to see a polar bear: a 3D animation like this. Don't let it be the only solution

These words, spoken by Stefano Accorsi's voice, describe a not so imaginary future, unfortunately, in which real and beautiful bears are replaced by digital effects, in a short by Gabriele Muccino presented by WWF.

All while Roberto Benigni is awarded with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement and thrills us with the wonderful dedication to his wife.

I only know one way to measure time, with or without you

says the actor to Nicoletta Braschi.

And we ask ourselves: but what times really await us if we don't do something concrete to stop this infernal carousel?
