In Utah, a bridge dedicated entirely to wildlife has been built over the highway near Parleys Summit.

They had become a real problem and there were too many accidents on that highway, so now bears, deer, beavers and other wildlife have their own way. It happens in Utah, in the US state, where - over Interstate 80 near Parleys Summit - a bridge was built entirely dedicated to them.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UtahDWR) built this flyover in 2018 to reduce road accidents caused by stray animals, while the following year, in 2019, construction began on the largest wildlife corridor in the world which should to open in 2023 in California:

Last week, the agency released a video of the bridge in use, helping moose, porcupines, deer and even bears across the busy highway:

"It's working! - write officials. Thanks to the Utah Department of Transportation and Utah State University for monitoring the Parley's Canyon Wildlife Flyover. As you can see, the second year of this flyover was successful in helping wildlife migrate safely on busy Interstate 80 and helping motorists be much safer too. Stay away from this overpass. Thank you!".

Yesterday the wildlife bridge over I-80 officially opened, and this moose wasted no time in checking it out. Learn more: http://bit.ly/2QUOuZo

The structure is nearly 15 meters wide and over 100 meters long, filled with rocks, boulders and logs, offering wildlife a far better alternative to the six-lane highway.
