5 parrots in an English zoo were removed from public view for swearing and insulting passers-by
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himThis curious story comes from England where 5 parrots were removed from a nature park where they had been until recently. The reason is unusual: they swore too much and swore at people.
The parrots had been donated to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in eastern England only a few days earlier but, perhaps, they were already tired of that inhospitable environment (it is basically a zoo).
The animals immediately showed themselves particularly grumpy and not accustomed to dealing with the public attracted by their beauty and ability to repeat words.
The 5 parrots, in fact, said too many bad words and even insulted visitors. For this the park managers were forced to remove them from public view.
Park CEO Steve Nichols told CNN:
“We were a little worried about the children. I was called fat every time I passed in front of it ".
I African gray parrots named Eric, Jade, Elsie, Tyson and Billy were donated to the park last week by five different owners and shared a quarantine facility together before being put on display.
But staff quickly noticed that the birds shared a penchant for using unsympathetic adjectives and foul words. Language that was actually appreciated by most of the visitors, amused by the unusual situation.
But concern for younger customers forced the staff to sort the birds and temporarily remove them from the park's public areas.
The staff now hopes that, by being separated and perhaps united with other "more polite" parrots, their language will become "family friendly".
