Sweet almond oil: emollient, nourishing, elasticizing. Who has had one pregnancy knows the beneficial effects of this oil on the belly to prevent stretch marks, but are these only the properties of almond oil?

Not really. First of all, the almond oil that we recommend you to buy is the one obtained from cold pressing of sweet almonds (look for this wording on the label), which leaves all the original characteristics of the almond unaltered and consequently offers greater benefits.

This vegetable oil contains:

  • fatty acids
  • vitamins (especially B and E)
  • protein
  • mineral salts (zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium)

Thanks to these, and to the other active ingredients of which it is composed, almond oil has the following properties:

  • moisturizing and emollient: these are certainly the two characteristics that make this natural product more appreciated. Used on the skin it is able to hydrate it, soothing even small inflammations. It also protects the delicate skin of the little ones.
  • dilates pores and cleanses thoroughly: always on the skin, this oil offers the advantage of dilating the pores and is able to act by cleaning thoroughly (that's why there are those who use it as a make-up remover)

Sweet almond oil, uses

Sweet almond oil is a very versatile natural product, a valid ally for all skin types - including that of infants, the elderly and allergy sufferers - hair and lips.

Here are the main uses that can be made of it:

Body

  • Pregnancy or weight loss diet. Used constantly during the nine months on the belly, hips and breasts (or during a weight loss diet), with circular movements it is the ultimate in preventing stretch marks.
  • Seno. While breastfeeding, the skin of the breasts and nipples may need additional hydration. In this case, almond oil is the only one able to nourish the area without any contraindication for the baby who will stick to it.
  • Before and after the shower: no moisturizers bought at the supermarket! If you want smooth and soft skin like a baby's ass, spread a few drops of sweet almond oil before throwing yourself under the shower. Or, once wet, apply the oil and rinse by alternating jets of cold water and hot water: you will immediately have smoother skin.
  • Post waxing. To remove the wax residues just wipe the oil on the legs or any other part that has just been shaved.
  • Dry skin. The fatty acids in which almond oil is rich ensure that it deeply hydrates even the driest and driest skin.
  • Babies. A light massage done on the back and on the legs of a baby can only please him ... As well as any of his diaper rashes can be solved with almond oil.
  • Kids. Against the irritations caused by measles, eczema and chicken pox: its emollient action gives immediate relief. The same emollient action is also a cure-all in the case of allergies e dermatosis.
  • Face cleaning. It is a method that cannot be followed constantly by those with particularly oily skin, but applying a little oil daily to the face and neck helps to eliminate impurities. Ditto if, instead of using any cleansing milk or any make-up remover, you apply a few drops on a cotton pad and apply it to your face every night.
  • Srub for the face. Mix oil and a little sugar or oil and a little salt and go with the scrub!

Hair

Sweet almond oil is helpful in treating very dry hair, frizzy or damaged by the sun and salt or just to help you in the style. After shampooing, drying your hair will immediately notice it much softer and shinier.
