What concessions does the single check replace?

The single check includes the following benefits:

  • the birth or adoption bonus (Mom tomorrow bonus);
  • allowance for families with at least three minor children;
  • family allowances for families with children and orphans;
  • childbirth allowance (so-called baby bonus);
  • tax deductions for children up to 21 years of age.

However, the subsidy does not replace or limit the amounts of the daycare bonus.

When to apply?

As clarified by the INPS, whoever submits the application by 30 June 2022 will still have arrears from March. For applications presented from January 1st to February 28th 2022, payment is expected in March, for applications presented subsequently, payment will be made the month following their submission. Finally, for the new born the single allowance starts from the seventh month of pregnancy.

How does the amount of the check vary?

The amount of the single check, which does not contribute to the formation of the total taxable income for IRPEF purposes, is established on the basis of the ISEE. The latter can be presented to apply, but it is not mandatory. Those who do not submit the ISEE will have the minimum amount and may in any case submit it at a later time. The application is presented in the same way as the temporary allowance.

Is the Single Check compatible with the Citizenship Income?

Yes, in addition to being compatible with the use of other cash measures in favor of dependent children provided by the regions and local authorities, the Single Allowance is compatible with the Citizenship Income. The single check will be paid by INPS to families receiving the subsidy, without the need to submit an application.

Do I have to submit the application in January?

There is no need to apply right away. You can do this by June 30 2022, without losing any of the monthly payments due with effect from March.

Does anyone who applied for the temporary allowance have to re-submit it for a single check?

The question must be resubmitted also by those who received the temporary allowance with the exception of those who are entitled to the Citizenship Income who will receive the single allowance automatically.

Who should submit the application? Is only one parent enough?

One two parents exercising parental responsibility can apply for the allowance.

How is the payment made?

Ordinarily on the IBAN in the name of the applicant or domiciled bank transfer.

How is the application presented?

The question arises online and with a simplified procedure by accessing the INPS site with SPID, CIE or CNS or by contacting a patronage.
