Growing up they will be able to help you prepare food: knead the bread, use the funnel, pour liquid ingredients from one container to another.
Gradually, children can get involved in small gardening and cleaning jobs: tidying up toys, washing or drying dishes, loading the dishwasher or washing machine, watering the plants. According to Maria Montessori, the greatest success for a teacher (or for a parent) is to realize that children have started doing everything on their own almost without needing their presence.
