Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Mattel wants to recycle old Barbie dolls, thanks to the program "Mattel PlayBack“, Which aims to extend the life of the brand's toys, from a more sustainable perspective.

In fact, on the project website we read:

“We believe that parents should have 'anti-guilt' solutions for toys that have reached the end of their life. The Mattel Playback program helps put precious materials back into play, preventing them from ending up in landfills, so that the fun returns to square one. "

Participating is very simple: just log into Mattel.com/PlayBack and follow the shipping instructions after downloading and printing the appropriate label. The old toys, once received, will be sorted and separated according to the materials, recyclable or not. Non-reusable materials in the new games will still be used in other plastic products or converted from waste into energy.

One way to prevent plastic from ending up in landfills or in natural environments, as often happens, with all the consequences that this entails.

The first toys affected by the project, which was launched in the US and Canada, are Barbie, Matchbox and MEGA. But the goal is to extend the initiative to other countries.

In reality this isn't the first time Mattel has made sustainable choices, the company had already made plans to use 100% recycled, recyclable, or bio-based plastics in all of its products and packaging by 2030.
