California, Riverside: family never stopped looking for lost cat and found her now after 7 years
In California, a cat named Ebi was lost in 2015 and the owners, Joe and Leanna Drnec, searched desperately for her and, although they didn't know if they would see her again. after 7 years, they never stopped hoping to be able to hold and cuddle their cat once again and in fact their perseverance, and a bit of luck, meant that Ebi was found by Riverside County Animal Services in California thanks to the microchip that the cat owned.
One day Ebi never returned home and Joe and Leanna, alarmed by that event that had never happened before, reported the loss to the police. The searches continued unabated until the couple decided to leave California and move to Tennessee.
In these seven years Joe and Leanna have thought that someone had found Ebi on the streets and adopted her, giving her a comfortable bed and the warmth of a home, but in reality the person who spotted the cat took her to the local cattery and this trick was decisive in being able to identify it. The veterinarians after visiting the feline found the presence of the microchip and got in touch with the couple who could never believe what they had been told: after 7 very long years Ebi was alive and was ready to be reunited with her family.
The cat, accompanied by John Welch, the head of Riverside County Animal Services, joined Joe and Leanna after a journey of 3.000 km who welcomed the animal with tears in their eyes.
