Georgia, an Australian Shepherd, was pregnant when she was rescued and cared for by volunteers from Sunshine Dog Rescue in Arizona. The poor animal lived near a gas station near the US-Mexico border.
Here she was found by rescuers from the Sunshine Dog Rescue of Phoenix. Soon after, Georgia's puppies were born prematurely. Despite the attempts to save them, there was nothing for them to do: the entire litter was lost.
“She was frantic, sad, looking for puppies. She tore the mattress we put her on, hoping to find her little ones, ”she told ABC15 Anita Osa, founder of Sunshine Dog Rescue.
To offer him comfort, it was decided to bring a trio of kittens, who were also unlucky and orphaned, to Mother Georgia, left alone. In fact, the association mobilized on social media to look for animals that needed a nursing mother. Surprisingly, Osa was in contact with a trio of newly orphaned kittens. She initially wasn't sure Georgia would accept them.
