Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Anyone with children will have come across them sooner or later Huggies products, including the famous ones baby wipes. Well the company, the first leading brand in the sector, intends now totally eliminate plastic from wipes in the UK and gives you 5 years to do it.

The reason? Baby wipes are used extensively in the UK alone, averaging 14,8 billion annually, and many of them contain plastic.

Although Huggies claims to use up to 50% less plastic than other brands, it now plans to go further by helping to reduce 50 tons of plastic from its products by the end of 2019.

To do this, 43 tons of plastic due to excess packaging will be removed annually and 100% recyclable packaging will be used, while 17 tons of plastic will be saved thanks to the creation of innovative products.

Huggies has also decided to clearly label the plastic content of its wipes, which will be indicated on the packaging.

Ori Ben Shai, Kimberly-Clark UK Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, said:

“We know that parents are becoming more environmentally conscious, but we also know that they need an affordable and affordable solution that is gentle on their baby's skin. We have already made progress and are proud to offer an alternative that has a lower environmental impact than other leading brands, but we will not stop until we have found a completely sustainable solution as we believe that no parent should compromise between care. for their baby and take care of the environment.

A commitment that, while commendable, certainly, is not enough and from multinationals like Kimberly Clark we expect much more progress in terms of waste reduction in a sector such as that of children's products in which, in addition to the environmental issue, that of health is protected. There are too many baby wipes that, for example, still contain phenoxyethanol and other dangerous substances.
