After the social platform for sharing Lego, here the colored bricks are back as protagonists in the United States, to raise awareness of greater respect for green areas. Nathan Sawaya - better known as Brick Artist - decided to find a special home for Hugman, a series of three human-sized Lego sculptures.

This is the Clement Clarke Moore Park di New York. Sawaya is one of the world's leading artists to use the famous bricks for their creations. On the occasion ofEarth Day 2014 gave life to a trio of works that populated the park within the Chelsea Arts District.

The three large sculptures were made using almost 50 thousand Lego bricks. Each of them has been positioned in such a way as to hug a tree. This is not the artist's first open-air exhibition designed specifically for the inhabitants of New York, but on this occasion the message that lies at the heart of the works is particularly striking: spreading thelove for nature e protect trees.

Each brick used has the signature of a different person. The artist has in fact reused the Legos that visitors had signed for the exhibition The Art of the Brick, in Times Square. To make the three sculptures, Sawaya worked for over 100 hours. Now hopes that the new creations can inspire visitors to intelligent recycling in everyday life.
