How to build a DIY solar air conditioner in a few steps and with less than 10 euros, an economical and ecological alternative to traditional air conditioning

We know very well how this practice is not exactly the best for our health and that of the environment. For this reason, taking a cue from one of the major DIY sites on the web (www.instructables.com), we decided to suggest an inexpensive, do-it-yourself and ecologically sensitive alternative to normal air conditioners on the market.
Building an air conditioner is not difficult at all and, above all, it is an almost negligible expense for our wallet since the cost of all components should be less than 10 euros. Let's move on to this point to see what we need:
- About twenty sticks
- A computer cooling fan
- A solar panel, batteries, or other low voltage power sources
- An absorbent cloth
- Scissors
- Glue and a "glue shooter" gun
And now that we have all the "ingredients" let's see step by step how to go about making it ...
1 phase: The cooling fan and the sticks
Before starting, we suggest that you ask any computer store if they can give you a fan. Usually the warehouses are full of old accessories and disposing of them for free by giving them to you will certainly be appreciated by the shopkeeper. So, once you have found the right fan (the bigger the better it will be) you just need to connect six sticks - as per figure - at the ends on which the fan will rest.
2 phase: The dressing
Now cut a few strips of your absorbent cloth (a towel or beach towel may be ideal). You will then cut another four of the same size as the base. Then glue the strips of cut cloth on the various sticks and once done you will only have to connect another stick on the opposite side, gluing a piece of cloth here too.
3 phase: More sticks
Glue together more sticks and stick them as you did in the first step. Now, as shown in the figure, place another stick that perfectly covers the width of the base of the other side.
4 phase: The coverage
Now take the pieces of cloth cut previously to the same width as the base and glue them on the sides. Remember: the more cloth there is, the more air will be distributed optimally.
5 phase: Here we are, it's done.
At this point all that remains is to wet the cloth with water with a spoon until it is completely soaked. Connect the fan to your power supply (solar panel, batteries etc. etc.) and start cooling the house. Practically the evaporation of the water is transformed into air conditioning, this is possible due to the fact that the escaped heat is regenerated into cold air by the fan.
A device that it will not be the best in terms of design and quite noisy to agree ... but functional and extremely economical, which never hurts these days.
