He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himStrange combinations, caught at the right time. Unusual poses, certainly not aware but no less amusing. These are the images taken for the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2017, the photography competition that rewards the funniest photos of animals as protagonists.
The award, now in its third edition, will be awarded on 13 December but the finalist photos have already been announced.
The subjects are the most disparate, elephant seals and sharks laughing, kangaroos doing martial arts and penguins about to follow Sunday mass. These are just some of the images taken by photographers from all over the world.
Despite the humorous approach, photos aren't just about entertaining. Photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam also founded the award to focus attention on wildlife conservation efforts.
“The last couple of years there have been some great photos. We want to see even more animals photographed. Go out and shoot, wherever you are. We want to raise awareness of the conservation of all animals around the world, so wherever you are, take pictures! " explain.
We have selected 15 finalist photos.
