Two thousand dogs are in danger of dying, the shelter will only last two weeks before closing in Sri Lanka

Animal SOS Sri Lanka launches a desperate call for help to rescue dogs housed in one of Asia's largest sanctuaries

Animal SOS Sri Lanka is a sanctuary that welcomes disabled dogs, stolen from mistreatment and coming from very difficult realities who have found a safe place and a lot of love in the volunteers who carry out this paradise for dogs by taking care of the care they need, their rehabilitation and adoptions to find them a family. However, the refuge is on the verge of bankruptcy as there are no more funds to keep its guests who are over 2000 and Kim Cooling, the founder of this charity, launches a desperate appeal on social media for help from around the world.

The sanctuary can only guarantee two weeks of food and veterinary expenses for all his dogs, after which he will be forced to close and no one knows what will happen to the looked after dogs, whose future appears uncertain just like that of the non-profit organization.

Kim Colling, who has dedicated her entire life to the dogs forgotten by society as mutilated, sick or elderly and has spent over 15 years on this project, hopes for a miracle and the generosity of the users who follow the sanctuary.

These animals mean everything to me. You cannot put into words the feeling you get to see them when they arrive and treat them when otherwise they would be on the verge of death. They are so grateful for having a second chance and we must continue to keep them safe "

Kim said that in addition to looking after the over 2000 dogs in his shelter, he feeds over 3.000 stray dogs and cats every day throughout Sri Lanka. An enormous commitment for a person with an equally big and noble heart.
