The Municipality of Livorno has in fact chosen to collaborate with the Livorno 1915 Sports Union and the kennel La cuccia nel bosco, launching the initiative with the slogan "Open your heart, come and find them and adopt them" to encourage Tuscan citizens to go to kennel and adopt a four-legged friend.

Although this cooperation has recently started, Libera Camici, deputy mayor with responsibility for Animal Protection, says that many families in Livorno and its surroundings have already opened the doors of their home to a dog in a shelter, thanks to the commitment of the Municipality, of the 'Animal Protection Office and of all animal welfare associations that collaborate with the municipal administration.
