He had custom built wheeled carts and hated them. She lifted them to carry them around, with a terrible strain on her back and chest. Instead of forcing him to use them, his family preferred to leave him alone.
Why not use prosthetics then? Because he's not an ideal candidate, explains Vancouver-based animal conservation group Panda Paws Rescue, who rescued him, he doesn't have a femur for fastening. It is therefore useless to continue "experiments" that would have done him more harm than good.
Many online criticize its excessive thinness, but for a boxer puppy who lacks almost a quarter of his body and uses double the energy of a 4-legged dog, this is normal. In reality, his weight is constantly monitored by doctors through a special diet. It is important to keep him thin so that he has to try as little as possible to move.
Duncan Lou Who, in fact, learned on his own to support his body, even without his rear legs. And in doing so, the puppy enjoyed his every day to the fullest.
