The old polar bear in the zoo playing in the snow is one of the saddest things ever seen

A few days ago a cute video appeared on Facebook showing the Blizzard polar bear having fun in the snow. Too bad, however, that the video was shot by an operator of the Point Defiance Zoo in Washington, where he has been forced to live since he was a puppy.

Blizzard is a 25-year-old polar bear who loves rolling in the snow. A few days ago a tender video appeared on Facebook in which he can be seen sinking his face and paws into the white blanket of snow, playing as if he were a child.

Too bad, however, that the video was shot by an operator of the Point Defiance Zoo di Washington, where he is forced to live together with hundreds of other animals stolen from their habitats.

As the zoo managers explain, Blizzard is considered an elderly bear since the life expectancy of a polar bear in captivity is around 23 years and he is already 15 years old.

And when it arrived at the Washington facility, the specimen was still a puppy and lived in Churchill, Canada.

Like all its specimens after all, Blizzard loves to have fun in the snow and be "lulled" by its softness. But to see him rolling on that white expanse, knowing that since he was a child he has been locked up inside a fence, is really very sad. It would have been much more beautiful and exciting to see him happy in his natural habitat.

Don't forget that captivity causes terrible trauma to animals. Just a few weeks ago we told you the distressing story of the bear who, after having lived for 20 years in a zoo in Romania, still continues to move on itself in an imaginary cage, despite having been released.
