The wonderful Golden Retriever who gave a smile back to a little girl who was paralyzed due to an accident, has now become her guide dog

It was June 2020 when the life of Memphis Rose Hamman, a 6-year-old resident girl in Florida, was turned upside down by a terrible car accident, which forced her into a wheelchair. But Juliet, an adorable, made her smile back at the hospital Golden Retriever who remained beside her in moments of despair.

Following the accident, in fact, Memphis Rose fractured her spine, neck and lung perforation and had to stay on a hospital bed for a long time and undergo various operations. When the little girl met Juliet between the two it was love at first sight. And now finally, after 18 months of training, her dog has officially become his guide dog and moved to the home of Memphis Rose, who is over the moon over the arrival of her four-legged best friend.

“Juliet learned how to open doors, bring Memphis items, go call her mother if necessary,” the trainer of the Golden Retriever, who will continue with classes twice a month, told People magazine.

Juliet's training was funded by Leeds Endowment, a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities lead better and more independent.

Thanks to this special training, the Golden Retriever is able to assist Memphis Rose 24 hours a day, while until a few weeks ago he visited the baby only three times a month.

Lori Griffith, founder of the NGO profit, introduced Juliet to the paralyzed child “Chasin a dream foundation”, which is dedicated to providing personalized assistance to families with children with cancer, cystic fibrosis or with disabilities. But probably no one imagined that the bond between the two would become so strong.

Despite the many difficulties associated with her paralysis, the 8-year-old has shown great tenacity and her cheerfulness is contagious.

“He always has a smile on his face. Memphis Rose impresses me every single day with her strength ”says the little girl's mother.

Juliet will be of great help to the child not only in daily activities, but also from a psychological point of view.

You couldn't ask for a better team than these two - comments the Golden Retriever trainer - People focus on Memphis Rose's physical damage, but he also needs mental stability. Juliet is there for her and knows what to do. She trusts Memphis Rose.

How to blame him? Dogs are truly the best cure!
