    We are in fact in Adelaide, Australia, and here the McCormick family found themselves in the middle of the living room of their house in the hills of Coromandel Valley a tender koala clinging to the branches of the (plastic!) Christmas tree.

    Amanda McCormick tells ABC broadcaster that she was "shocked" to discover the little animal sitting there quietly, surrounded by balls, stars and snowflakes.

    “I came home from work and the dog headed for the Christmas tree and I noticed all the decorations on the floor,” she said.
