The alarm was raised by a little girl, who with her mother had noticed the poor puppy's barking of pain. All this took place on Sunday evening, in a land adjacent to the convent of San Pietro alli Marmi (Eboli). Firefighters and municipal police officers intervened on the spot to save the dog whose legs had been broken. But not only.
Abused animals: over 70.000 incidents of violence in 2010 alone
The poor dog had been thrown through a gate more than two meters high into a private property where the half-caste pinned to the ground because of his injuries barked in pain. The firefighters then entered the property and recovered the animal which is now hospitalized in a veterinary clinic in Naples. Now, investigations are underway to trace the perpetrator of the gesture who risks being reported for animal abuse.
