“What happened was horrible,” said Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project, “Some of these children were just babies when they were separated. In their short life, they have never been with their parents yet ”.

The continuing suffering of hundreds of children and their lost parents has caused anger and indignation. Paola Luisi, director of the coalition that brings families together, said that everything possible will be done to give these children a future.
