A beautiful villa, in the heart of the Lancashire, UK. Most of us will only be able to dream of living in such a place, but with a little luck the dream can come true. The luxurious in fact the residence is not for sale but it will be drawn. And the cost of the ticket is really affordable for everyone: approx 2,50 euro.
Dunstan Lowe bought Melling Manor in 2011 for 435.000 pounds, about 520.000 euros, after falling madly in love with the house. Once it became his, he restructured it enriching it with numerous details but then decided against his will to put it up for sale.
The initial request was for 800.000 pounds but it slowly fell to 650.000. Even at that figure, no one ever came forward so Lowe thought of trying another path.
In agreement with his wife, he decided to keep one lottery, giving anyone the chance to win the house by purchasing one or more tickets online for the modest sum of 2 pounds.
The winner will be drawn on August 1st, 2017, and the owner hopes to sell tickets for at least £ 500.000 until then.
In February, Lowe he revealed to Evening Standard that they have already sold them for £ 120.000. A few days after the lottery website was created, offers began to arrive, and extensive media coverage made the possibility known.
People from all over the world bought the tickets. And certainly the splendid house is tempting to many.
La kitchen it is equipped with various options. In the countryside house. there is an ancient wood stove and cast iron radiators. The heating is underfloor. The palace has six bedrooms, located on the upper floor, two of which with amradio cabin and private bathroom with Jacuzzi.
The exterior also lives up to the beauty of the house, with gardens and porches and a parking area that can accommodate six cars. Also surrounding the garden is a series of fruit trees.
The publicity obtained through the lottery attracted several potential buyers to Melling Manor. If Lowe manages to sell it before the lottery, he will return the cost of the ticket to everyone. But if no one has come forward to buy it until 1 August 2017, anyone who has taken a ticket can hope to become the owner.
