In Wisconsin, United States, a farmer decided to cover several acres of land with sunflowers, thus creating a colorful and beautiful landscape that gives joy and joy to those who look at it or walk in its midst.

People, especially in these troubled times, are in dire need of beauty. Our planet gives a lot of it every day but also the push from man can sometimes help.

Just to bring beauty and happiness to others, Scott Thompson, a farmer from Wisconsin, decided to plant more than 2 million sunflowers. An incredible amount that, scattered over 5 lands of its property, contributes to making people happier.

Scott comes from a family that has been devoted to agriculture for several generations. In the land he usually collects strawberries, raspberries or pumpkins, depending on the seasons. However, during this pandemic 2020, Scott made an unusual decision: plant sunflowers.

The yellow color of these flowers has created beautiful landscapes that attract many people to the fields with the aim of having a beautiful day of nature, while also distracting from problems and bad news.

“When you are in the middle of a field and all you see around you are bright yellow flowers, you have no choice but to smile,” said Scott.

When planting his sunflowers, the farmer made sure, among other things, to draw wide paths across the fields so that visitors could keep the correct distances while being "totally engulfed by the fields".

The sunflowers started blooming in late July and Scott expects they will continue to do so until the end of September.

His initiative was warmly welcomed by people living in the area and Scott decided to add wildflower planting to sunflowers. The result? A splendid one show of butterflies, bees and other flying insects.

On the page of his farm, the Thompson Strawberry Farm located in Kenosha County Wisconsin, Scott posts photos of his gorgeous sunflowers.

His is also a commercial activity, to access the sunflower fields in fact it is necessary to pay a fee of 25 dollars for each car. You can then stay all day, have a picnic among the flowers and receive, included in the price, dozens of sunflowers to take home.
