No smoking during pregnancy! The I smoke fa male to the fetus, there is no escaping from here: a research confirms it and a shocking one 4D ultrasound confirms it.

With a series of scans done in certain periods of gestation on 20 British mothers, Dr. Nadja Reissland has in fact demonstrated the reactions of the fetus to cigarette smoke. And i results they speak clearly: the fetus suffers from it and you can see it continuous movements of the face.

In short, the smoking in pregnancy not only can it be cause for asthma in the unborn child and synonymous with a thousand other problems, but it can also lead to a delay in the development of the nervous system.

Dr Reissland, who led the research, monitored 20 mothers attending the UK's James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, four of whom smoke an average of 14 cigarettes a day.

After analyzing the scans made at 24, 28, 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, the researcher found that the fetuses of the mothers with the addiction to smoke have much higher rates of mouth movements and touching face with little hands much more often. And then, as the time for childbirth approaches, the fetus moves less and this, according to experts, would indicate a delay in the development of the central nervous system.

The research, conducted by the universities of Durham and Lancaster, was published in the Acta Paediatrica journal. The children subjected to the study were then born healthy and with normal weight.

According to the data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), women who smoke during the nine-month wait have a better chance of giving birth premature babies or more than three weeks before the expected term. The unborn children in these cases risk having a low birth weight and having to spend a long time before leaving the hospital. Smoking during pregnancy also increases the risk of sudden infant death (SIDS) and the risk of defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

In short, the pregnancy should be strong enough motivation to say goodbye to blondes. Come on, dear ladies, you don't mess with that baby bump!
