    Sir David Attenborough, a true legend of the naturalist world, replied with a letter in pen to a four-year-old boy

    It was the last bedtime question: "Mom, will we one day become extinct like the dinosaurs?"





    Four-year-old Otis surprised his mother Gerry with this question, so the two devised a plan to write to the oracle of nature and animals, Sir David Attenborough.

    And, to their amazement, the 94-year-old sent in a handwritten response.

    "The answer is that we don't have to do it as long as we take care of our planet properly," Sir David wrote reassuringly.

    My little boy (age 4.5) wrote to Sir David Attenborough to ask if humans would be extinct one day “like the dinosaurs”. Today he received this beautiful reply: “The answer is that we need not do so as long as we look after our planet properly.”

    The TV star and environment enthusiast will turn 95 in May. And she reminds us once again that we need to take care of the Earth, for all children like Otis.
