Schools reopening: the bracelet that vibrates and lights up if the distance of one meter is not kept

Schools reopening: the bracelet that vibrates and lights up if the distance of one meter is not kept

A Bari start-up has created a bracelet that signals when the 1 meter distance is not respected. A school will use it when lessons resume

Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Many are asking: when schools reopen, how will we manage to keep the little ones safe? The answer could be in a bracelet that, used as if it were a game, will prevent the little ones from getting too close to others.

The idea came to one Bari start-up, MetaWellness, who has thought of this solution not only for children but also for example for those who are on holiday by the sea or for all other cases in which there is a risk of a gathering of people (it could be useful in places such as bars, hotels, gyms , hairdressers, etc.).

We are talking about Labby Light, a smart bracelet that warns the wearer of excessive proximity to other people. How? Vibrating on the wrist and lighting up. Clear signs that there is a need to move away from someone closer than one meter (safety distance established internationally to avoid contagion).

A equal nursery school del Varesotto, the "Eugenio Cantoni 'of Castellanza, has decided to buy 200 bracelets like these to allocate them to his students aged 4 to 6 who, when the schools reopen, will be able to better respect the necessary distances.

The thing, of course, it will be offered to children as a game. As Fabio Morandi, principal of the nursery school, explained:

"The initiative will be developed and explained as if it were a game, avoiding any risk of anxiety about the anti-contagion measures, through our psychologists and pedagogists and the aim for the children will be precisely that of not letting their bracelets light up" .

Using these bracelets is very simple, as they slip on the wrist as if they were watches. Then just set the minimum measurement of one meter away and let these tools do their work. The same bracelets, which use an app, they will also be useful in monitoring contacts between children and to warn, in case of positive covid-19, who is most at risk.

The Labby, in fact, internally stores the ID, day, time and contact time with the other Labby with which it comes into proximity.

In addition to the students, these special bracelets will also be worn by the teachers and the rest of the school staff.

Could this be a good solution, not traumatic but rather fun for children in other schools too? What do you think?
