We all know how much plastic pollution is one of the most difficult endemic problems to combat. A real nightmare for the environment and above all for the sea. We never tire of appealing to civic sense, but even this summer our beaches have been invaded by Rifiuti.

Plastic kills fish, turtles and the marine ecosystem, yet there are those who continue to turn a deaf ear. Fortunately, however, there are also those who find solutions that pass from creative recycling.

Elmer Padilla, is a man who lives in Manila in the Philippines, father of two daughters, works as a construction worker in the village of Imus, where he also created a shop with his impressive creations.

Using old flip flops he brings comic book characters, robots and other animated movie characters to life and since the images landed on Facebook users have literally gone mad.
