Children: learning to play a musical instrument benefits the brains of the little ones
Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous
La music is good for children: that is to say, learning to play a musical instrument benefits the brain of the little ones. In short, the study of violin or piano would help our puppies to overcome states of anxiety, to be more concentrated and to control their emotions.
To support it is the one that is considered the “largest survey on the association between playing a musical instrument and brain development ”, conducted by the American University of Vermont College of Medicine.
For the study - published on Journal of American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - 232 children between the ages of 6 and 18 were recruited. Each child was brain scanned through an MRI and various behavioral tests, with an interval of 2 years.
The results of these analyzes were then correlated with the IQ and information on the possible use of a musical instrument which has led, over the years, to genuine changes in the brain areas. In practice, a positive activity such as educating a musical instrument has led to a modification of the motor areas (thanks to the need to coordinate movements) and a cortical thickening in those areas of the brain related to executive functioning, inhibitory control and emotion processing.
All of which leads to one reduction of the possibility of anxiety and depression, of any problems with attention, aggression and behavior even in healthy children, in those - that is - without a diagnosis of a mental disorder or illness.
So make sure that your children are passionate about music. From CDs to put on the stereo to the first instruments, you will have the opportunity to refine their mental energies and shrewd and intelligent children.
