A terminally ill child "inspired" Lewis Hamilton's victory at the Spanish Grand Prix. And the champion exchanges it with an F1 car.
Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerousHe had sent Hamilton a good luck message on Instagram from his hospital bed and the Formula 1 champion didn't think for a moment to reciprocate by having him take his car home: a full-scale Mercedes F1 replica.
He is little Harry Shaw, 5 years old from Redhill, Surrey, a child terminally ill due to a rare form of cancer which “inspired” Lewis Hamilton's victory at the Spanish Grand Prix.
In April, Harry's parents were given the dire news: the little one was staying only a week old due to Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Since then, however, Harry has not given up and in recent days the English child, passionate about engines, has sent a video from his bed in the hospital to Lewis Hamilton to wish him good luck in Barcelona.

When, on the morning of the race, the Mercedes staff showed it to him, the champion - who then shared the video on his Instagram profile - declared that he had received the inspiration he was looking for and "I hope he is watching, because I dedicate my victory and we will try to do something special for him ”.
So, at any moment, in the driveway of the Shaw house, the Mercedes technicians parked Lewis's car number 44, together with the trophy won in Spain and a couple of his own racing gloves.
“I can't even describe what Hamilton's victory and his dedication meant for us - explained dad James, who with his wife Charlotte launched a fundraiser for research on Ewing's Sarcoma. Harry didn't believe Lewis was talking about him and now considers him to be his absolute best friend, which for a 5-year-old is pretty awesome. In such a terrible and difficult moment for our lives, what was done gave us a great stimulus and gave us a smile ".
