Luna, a golden retriever of the regional dog community of the fire brigade who saved lives in L'Aquila and Genoa, passed away at the age of 14
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himFrom the earthquakes of L'Aquila and Amatrice, to the collapse of the Morandi Bridge, she has served in the greatest tragedies that have marked our country in recent years and now she is gone - perhaps towards new missions - Luna, Golden Retriever of the canine nucleus of the Liguria firefighters.
She was 14 and was considered a "veteran" of the group, led by the firefighter Igor Giovinazzo. Over the years she had worked, saving dozens of human lives, she too together with Camilla, the border collie hero of Amatrice, who passed away three years ago, to whom the city of Rieti also dedicated a statue to pay her homage.

Yesterday the canine team met to greet Luna all together for the last time, “not a hero”, but a colleague for all of them.
Today, after a long time, we managed to reunite the whole Nucleus, unfortunately to say goodbye to little Luna for the last time! ...
