There is only one rule: "waste + ideas = droid”. With a good intuition, any waste can become a useful object, a game, a fascinating design object to show off at home or, given the period, to give as a gift for Christmas. Want to put the satisfaction of a handmade gift which moreover also lends a hand to the environment?
Anyone can participate and send their creature: just take a look at the proposals on the site to discover that magazines or an old binder are enough, look at yourself with new eyes, to give life to new ideas for D-Droid.
The challenge, in the intentions of the Dimomedia promoters, is twofold: to demonstrate that with a little imagination it is possible to divert the path of an object from the dustbin to the living room; and, above all, to clear the idea that there is nothing cool in constantly discarding what is old; an object born from waste can have the appeal, originality and taste that is expected of professional design.
For this reason D-Droid is aimed at renowned designers and creative studios, as well as individual enthusiasts, who can try their hand at five categories: lamps, Jewelry, accessories, quick ideas and finally i droids: small robots created from bolts, buttons or simple ballpoint caps.
