300 gr of whole wheat flour
300 grams of corn starch
60 ml of cooking oil of your choice
Wholemeal flour was chosen to mimic the color of the sand. You can use a cooking oil that you already have available, such as corn oil or sunflower oil. Corn starch or cornstarch is normally found in the supermarket at a very low cost. It is simply a matter of mixing and kneading all the ingredients until you get a kind of modeling paste.
We also suggest one variant of the ingredients to mix together to create the kinetic sand:
300 gr of cornstarch
300 gr semolina
100 ml of cooking oil of your choice
The mixture obtained can remain inside a bowl or a transparent container where children can have fun 'kneading' and modeling. The kinetic sand must be malleable and not too wet.
Would you like to prepare the colored kinetic sand? You could try adding a few drops of food coloring or beetroot juice to the mixture other natural dyes of your choice.
