Disabled children: now they can walk thanks to a harness

Upsee was born from the idea of a music therapist mother, a harness that allows disabled children to walk and play

Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Making a disabled child feel the thrill of walking and playing seemed an impossible task but not for an Israeli mother who is a music therapist who invented for her son Rotem, suffering from cerebral palsy. a harness DIY which allowed him to walk for about 5 years with her.

Convinced of the usefulness and genius of her invention, Debby Elnatan, the mother of Rotem, proposed the idea to several companies specializing in devices and accessories for the disabled. This is how she was born Upsee, made by Leckey, a Northern Ireland company. It is a sort of baby carrier that parents of disabled children can use to make their children walk with them, of course, until they exceed a certain height and a certain weight.

In fact, thanks to a strap to tie at the waist and in the presence of sandals (two as an adult and two as a child), the little one can remain upright, well attached to his parent and take the steps with him, even moving his arms. It is not a trivial matter, in fact in this way babies can experience the sensation of walking, run, play, etc.

“In the immediate future, the Upsee improves the special needs of families and quality of life, while in the long term, research suggests that it has the potential to help a child's physical and emotional development. It was moving to see the progress and happiness the Upsee is creating, watching children do simple things for the first time, like kicking a ball or playing with a sibling, is truly exciting for everyone involved, but especially for families. ”Said Clare Canale of Leckey.

The Upsee will be on sale in a few days at the cost of about 540 dollars. It may seem like a lot, but if you watch the video you will understand that it is really worth it!
