Fox alias Marty Mc Fly alias Dart Vader in a cult scene of the timeless "Back to the future"By Robert Zemeckis (1985) terrified his future father George for a good purpose by resorting to a simple, but for the times, futuristic walkman equipped with infernal cassette tape (by AC / DC!) shot at full blast; in 1955 the technology of Music Cassette in fact it was still far away, that generation would have had to wait about 10 years to familiarize themselves with the support that would change the way of enjoying music: the MC, a small cassette containing recorded audio information in an analog way, it was in fact launched by Philips only in 1963.
Symbol of the 80s, before it was supplanted by CD or MP3, the musicassette (out of business since 2009) was for sure the support for popular music recording and sharing, loved and reliable that has ever been placed on the market. Who among us has not recorded the first compilations to be played among friends, who has not entrusted the manual rewind to a pen cap, who does not still keep in the most hidden drawers some specimens of an ancient collection that survived the evolution of time? Here are some ideas of creative recycling to breathe new life into the old audio cassette
1) One of the simplest ways is definitely to use the MC as the basis for a business card holder the photo holder: just attach a wooden, iron or spring rod to the central hole of the box if you prefer, and secure a small clip at the free end of the box that will hold photos, notes, cards ...
2) To leave them to them original context, creating a synthesis, if you want artistic, between past and present the proposal of Redi design studio turns them into CD case.
You can easily try it too: you just need two iron strips of the perforated ones, screws, bolts and a little hot glue to fix the cassettes to the support and you're done. Note that by increasing the distance between the cassettes you can also get a very original bookend.
3) Another idea inspired by home and furniture: the MC like new texture the surfaces of the old furniture. Here, too, the work is very simple: just divide the audio cassette into its two sections and, with hot glue, cover the cabinet of your choice, that you want to refurbish or simply recover. The result is an object of true design with a deliciously rock'n roll flavor.

Everything is about succeeding create a cube with an opening upwards or downwards into which to insert the lamp and lamp holder. The resulting symphony of light is, believe me, truly magical.
5) Some original touches, instead, all for your style? And then here is that the MC always comes with you or in the form of a buckle for a belt that will certainly not go unnoticed.
Again all you need to do is divide the box into its two sections and apply them, with hot glue to pre-existing surfaces and in this case into an old buckle that may have tired you. Everything will take you up to 10 minutes and the result will be of indisputable success. Good fun!
