Atypical dermatitis, an increasingly widespread disorder in Europe, especially among children under the 5 years. One in two children would be affected in more or less severe and visible forms. The main accused of the phenomenon? L'pollution. Skin problems for the little ones would be more frequent in the cities most affected by the smog.

In accordance to declared by the World Health Organization, most childhood diseases in Europe should be traced back tounhealthy environment and unsafe in which today's children find themselves living, forced to be exposed to pollution from an early age.

Atopic dermatitis is currently regarded as the most common among skin diseases found in pediatric age. It has seen evident growth over the last 30 years, a period during which pollution and environmental conditions have only been able to progressively worsen, especially in industrialized countries.

To affect the pathology, in the opinion of experts, would be the actual pollution, accompanied by humidity, dust, food allergy e nutritional deficiencies. A set of elements that only delineate the situation of imbalance and discomfort that the children of the new millennium find themselves facing due to the environmental consequences of the choices made by those who preceded them.

The situation, according to doctors, can be improved throughsupply. One is therefore suggested diet rich in fruit and vegetables, fibers and cereals, accompanied by oils and fats of vegetable origin and water. Sugary drinks and overly refined foods should be limited. If parents feel powerless against pollution, they can therefore improve their child's nutrition in order to prevent skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and with the aim of preserving health through it, remembering how the food should be considered the first medicine and first source of prevention.
