    The coordinator of the Galician NGO for the study of marine mammals (CEMMA) told the story of the cetacean in his official Facebook account, where he denounced this terrible situation: "Two weeks ago we were talking about a pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) stranded alive in the Ría de Vigo, and how rare is the presence of this species in Galician waters ”, he writes in his statement.

    “The surprise was that two other individuals appeared in Malpica (A Coruña). A dead adult female and her cub alive. Fortunately, the person who discovered them was a CEMMA volunteer, Jose Manuel Pérez, and the rapid alarm allowed to set up a device coordinated with the municipality of Malpica for the care of the child ”, complains the NGO.
